Republican Troy Balderson has seen his lead increase in the undecided special election for the 12th Congressional District seat.
Delaware and Muskingum County elections officials have certified their results from the August 7th vote, giving Balderson a net gain of 247 votes over Democrat Danny O'Connor. There are still thousands of outstanding provisional and absentee ballots in five counties. The official canvassing window for counties ends on August 24. If the vote total remains within half a percentage point, an automatic recount will be triggered.
