A former Columbus police officer pleaded guilty Monday to child pornography charges.
Sentencing is scheduled January 10 for 52-year-old Sergeant Dean Worthington, who pleaded guilty to counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material. Worthington resigned last month under “dishonorable status” but remains eligible to collect his pension. Authorities launched an investigation last May.
