State Has Records About Probe Of Complaint Involving Richard Strauss

thelantern.com

The Ohio Medical Board confirms it has records about the investigation of a complaint involving former Ohio State University team doctor Richard Strauss, who is accused of sexual misconduct against students decades ago.

The board and OSU won't share any details. Board communications obtained by the Associated Press indicate the school sought the records after a firm it hired to investigate claims about Strauss learned OSU had reported him.  The board says it never disciplined Strauss. Its records can't be viewed by the outside investigators, but Ohio State can seek  permission to share portions that could point to relevant information. Strauss took his own life in 2005.
