The Columbus City Attorney's office is dismissing any open and pending cases involving vice detective Andrew Mitchell, who was charged Monday with holding women against their will and forcing them to engage in sex acts for their freedom.
The office will also review previous convictions involving Mitchell on an individual basis. Officials say in a news release if defendants who have previously pleaded guilty have facts involving Mitchell that were not known at the time of conviction, defendants should have their attorney contact Chief Prosecutor Bill Hedrick.
