The 38th annual Columbus Pride Festival takes place this weekend in and around downtown.
The festival runs today through Sunday at Bicentennial and Genoa Parks with the parade scheduled for Saturday starting at West Poplar Avenue in the Short North and heading south down High Street. Organizers believe this year's event will be one of the largest ever with an estimated 500-thousand people expected to attend. Last year's Pride Parade had eight-thousand participants, and this year over 13-thousand have signed up to march.
