Lawmakers Introduce Bill To Keep Front License Plate Requirement In Place

WCBE files

Two Republican state senators have introduced legislation to keep a requirement that Ohio drivers display a front license plate.

The Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio says removing the plate makes it tougher for law enforcement to identify and catch people committing crimes. 15 county sheriffs and police officers joined Senators Joe Uecker and Jay Hottinger Monday announcing the bill, saying the plate is a valuable tool in solving and preventing crimes.
