CDP: Man Shot By Cop Was Not Holding A Gun
Columbus police say a man shot and wounded by an officer during a burglary call last month was holding a cellphone rather than a gun.
The police division says in a news release the responding officer was dispatched to the Karl Road home February 24. Police say the officer fired on 27-year-old Roddale Garmany after the suspect "made an unexpected gesture." Garmany faces domestic violence and assault charges.
