Local Food Pantry Expanding Hours To Meet Growing Demand

Facebook

The Mid-Ohio Food Bank Collective's pantry is expanding it's operations to meet a growing demand fueled in large part by the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. Starting today, the food pantry in Grove City will be open for 40 hours a week, Monday through Saturday. Officials say the move will help  meet the growing demand and make access for those in need more convenient. Officials say the pantry saw more than 1 million visits by nearly 181 thousand families last year, up from over 950 thousand visits by over 158 thousand families in 2019.
