linkedin.com

The Ohio Inspector General says former Ohio State Dental Board director Lili Reitz improperly shared information about an anonymous complaint with a former board member. The IG says Reitz asked one of her investigators to find out who filed the confidential complaint and shared that information with the former board member. The IG says the former board member provided the information to his attorney who then contacted the complainant and threatened legal action. The complaint itself was not investigated. IG Randall Meyer's office referred the matter to Columbus City Attorney Rick Pfeiffer for possible criminal action. Reitz resigned in September of last year.  The former board member is Doctor Edward Hills, a former executive at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Hills and dentists affiliated with MetroHealth have pleaded not guilty to masterminding a series of schemes to accept bribes while working for the hospital system.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
