The former Columbus Division of Police spokesperson convicted on child pornography charges was sentenced Thursday to three months in jail.
Dean Worthington pleaded guilty to pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material. Images were found by investigators on his cellphone and at his home. A nine-year prison sentence is suspended as long as he follows the judge's orders and registers as a sex offender for 25 years. The judge considered Worthington's struggle with alcoholism in issuing the sentence.
