Ohio Republicans are working to ban businesses and employers from mandating vaccinations.
House Bill 248, the Enact Vaccine Choice and Anti-Discrimination Act, is one of two bills meant to weaken vaccine mandates statewide.
This measure is backed by anti-vaccination groups and prohibits insurers, healthcare providers, governments and more from mandating or requesting people to get any vaccine, not just the COVID vaccines.
Schools could require vaccines, but parents would be allowed to opt out. Health care providers oppose these measures.
