Activist Group Calls For Firings Of Police Chief And Cop Seen On Video Kicking Handcuffed Suspect

columbusjcc.org

The local activist group called the People’s Justice Project has called for Columbus Police Chief Kim Jacobs to be fired. The group also wants officer Zachary Rosen fired. The calls come after a video posted online shows Rosen, who is white, kicking a handcuffed African-American man in the head last weekend. The local chapter of the NAACP has also called for Rosen to be fired. Rosen has been removed from patrol indefinitely pending the outcome of an internal investigation. The head of the local Fraternal Order of Police claims Rosen did not stomp on Demarko Anderson's head, but instead kicked his shoulder. Jason Pappas says the organization will have no problem representing Rosen in the case.
