Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has activated 580 National Guard members in preparation for what the FBI identified as potential armed protests by President Trump's supporters in Columbus and every other state capital this weekend. The Republican governor authorized guard members from January 14 to January 21 to conduct training and be prepared in case called upon to police the armed riots. DeWine is falling in line with several other governors who received a warning from the FBI on Monday to prepare for potentially dangerous riots. DeWine, who chaired Trump's Ohio campaign, says the possibility of more violent protests is something every American should be worried about.
