Trump Stumps In Ohio

President Trump got an enthusiastic welcome during a campaign swing thru Ohio Monday. 

Speaking at an airport in suburban Dayton, Trump relived his 2016 victory in Ohio, and predicted the opportunity to appoint a new U.S. Supreme Court Justice will help his chances this November:

Trump claimed that Ohio has benefited from his policies:


But state figures show Ohio in 2019 lost the most jobs since the Great Recession.  While Trump got rounds of cheers at his appearances at the airports in suburban Dayton and suburban Toledo, Ohio Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted drew boos when he mentioned Ohioans wearing masks in his introduction:


The crowd also booed the mention of Republican Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, who met with Trump before the rally.  Dewine, who was also booed by the crowd at Vice President Mike Pence's rally in Muskingum County last week, was philosophical:


Monday marked Trump's third visit to Ohio this year, and it was DeWine's first appearance with Trump.
